पिछले सप्ताहांत सहायक मंत्री डॉ. एंड्रयू ली (उत्पादकता, प्रतिस्पर्धा, चैरिटी और ट्रेजरी) फ्लोरी स्थित हिन्दू मंदिर एवं सांस्कृतिक केंद्र पहुँचे और वहाँ आयोजित वार्षिक सांस्कृतिक उत्सव में शामिल हुए।
इस अवसर पर भारतीय कला और संस्कृति की झलक प्रस्तुत करते हुए विभिन्न सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए। समारोह में गीत-संगीत, शास्त्रीय और लोक नृत्य, लोक परंपराएँ, नाट्य प्रस्तुति और भारत के अलग-अलग प्रांतों की पारंपरिक वेशभूषाओं का भव्य प्रदर्शन किया गया। बच्चों और युवाओं की प्रस्तुतियों ने विशेष रूप से दर्शकों का मन मोह लिया।
सांस्कृतिक मंच पर भारत की भाषायी विविधता और पारंपरिक कलाओं की झलक दिखाई दी। विभिन्न राज्यों की लोक परंपराओं से लेकर शास्त्रीय नृत्य तक, हर प्रस्तुति ने भारतीय संस्कृति की गहराई और समृद्धि को उजागर किया।
डॉ. एंड्रयू ली ने कार्यक्रम में संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि ऐसे आयोजन प्रवासी भारतीयों को अपनी सांस्कृतिक जड़ों से जोड़े रखते हैं और साथ ही बहुसांस्कृतिक ऑस्ट्रेलिया की भावना को भी सुदृढ़ करते हैं। उन्होंने हिन्दू मंदिर और सांस्कृतिक केंद्र की सक्रिय भूमिका की प्रशंसा की और कहा कि यह केंद्र न केवल धार्मिक आस्था का प्रतीक है, बल्कि सामुदायिक एकता और सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण का भी महत्वपूर्ण मंच है।
स्थानीय समुदाय ने भी बड़ी संख्या में भाग लेकर इस सांस्कृतिक उत्सव को सफल बनाया। लोगों ने न केवल प्रस्तुतियों का आनंद लिया बल्कि भारत की विविध परंपराओं और कला शैलियों के बारे में और अधिक जानने का अवसर भी प्राप्त किया।

Last weekend, Assistant Minister for Productivity, Competition, Charities and Treasury, Dr Andrew Leigh, attended the annual cultural showcase hosted by the Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre in Florey.
The event featured a vibrant display of India’s rich traditions through music, dance, folk performances, and theatrical presentations. Participants showcased the cultural diversity of India by representing different regions, languages, and traditional attire. Children and youth played a special role in the program, winning the hearts of the audience with their enthusiastic performances.
The cultural showcase brought together a wide spectrum of Indian heritage — from classical dances to regional folk traditions — highlighting the depth, colour, and richness of Indian culture. Traditional clothing and artistic performances gave the audience a glimpse into the beauty of India’s linguistic and cultural diversity.
Speaking at the event, Dr Andrew Leigh praised the organisers and participants for their efforts in keeping cultural traditions alive. He noted that such events not only strengthen the ties of the Indian diaspora with their roots but also enrich Australia’s multicultural society. He further highlighted the Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre’s role as a hub for faith, community harmony, and cultural preservation.
